Deconstruct according to: Marxist Theory pg. 31
1. What does this theory say about the nature of people?
The Marxist theory implies that people have individual needs, capabilities, pleasures and forces.(Barsky, 2010, p.32).Capitalism is about all of the inequalities society has.
2. What does the theory say about how people change?
As Barsky states, the best way to create change is to overthrow the system of capitalism, but that will only happen if the proletariat demands change through a revolution (2010).
3. What is the theory's preferred choice of how people should be?
Marxism is about equality and where everyone receives an equal share of society’s wealth and production, no matter what their social status may be. The three key values that Marxism displays are equality, collaboration, and maximizing human potential. (Barsky, 2010, p.32).
